Developing Young Men
5th Grade, Middle School and High School

America's Young Gentlemen Mentoring Program meets the developmental needs of their mentees with age appropriate material, Mr. Sherman Rutledge Jr., over the past thirty years have developed numerous youth programs, all of which are designed to challenge students to move beyond their expectations. Mr. Rutledge believes every child is born with special gifts; talents and intelligence, only through special learning application systems do our children expose those talents and begin to believe in their intellectual abilities to excel in their critical learning environments and believe they achieve their professional dreams and desires.

5th Grade Mentees

America's Young Gentlemen Mentoring Program is designed to address the needs of 5th graders who will enter Middle school soon, they are provided with brain based techniques that constantly reminds them that their academic success doesn't rest solely on the school class room text book, but it is measured through their ability to consume learning material with specific skill-sets that allow them to retrieve that information at will.

5th graders will be provided with 45 developmental activities, there will be no sessions on sexual behavior, and other advanced material, however, and your son will receive 45 challenging and fun sessions including Martial Arts. 5th grade mentees will be prepared to enter 6th grade, they will be introduced to the real world of college, and their responses documented as a personal reference for them and their parents. It has been my contention for the past 20 years that college preparation starts at the 5th grade level, now there is increasing support regarding this.
Our Martial Arts sessions will provide our mentees with overwhelming conditioning and disciplinary development that shapes their mental, physical and spiritual desire to succeed as they enter the 6th grade.

Middle School Mentees

Middle school mentees will experience all 45 developmental strategies found on our training structure page, during the first 16 weeks in AYGMP, their performance outcomes will be documented and discussed. Middle school mentees are preparing to enter high school with a conviction they will graduate with honors, they will value the elements in life that make them the best of what it is to be human, they will accept life's challenges and those elements that they don't understand, they will research and provide intelligent conclusions to their questions. Middle school mentees will be introduced to a series of self-regulated learning instruments; they will be impressed with their abilities to reach beyond the realm of expectations and into the vast world of unprecedented learning abilities.

High School Mentees

High school mentees will receive the full impact of America’s Young Gentlemen Mentoring Program, they will be provided with intense, challenging and self regulated assignments during the sixteen week foundational period, all mentees can continue in AYGMP. High School mentees are developed to become trainers of trainers and teaches of teachers, they are provided with brain bases learning material that strengthens their cognitive, analytical and critical thinking skills.
There are no short cuts to entering a university of their choice, depending upon when a mentee enters our program determines their overall success preparing for their college of choice. Our mentees are developed to lead by example, to exemplify the essence of the best of what it is to be human. Their experience should one that they can remember for a life time.
